Essential Functions / Responsibilities
- Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair a variety of machine tools and equipment including complicated electronic/electrical systems and data handling equipment.
- Work with leadership to schedule and layout work, as necessary.
- Troubleshoot and repair/replace worn or damaged parts associated with CNC/EDM machinery, pumps, circuit boards, and water filtration systems.
- Maintain plant properties such as buildings, machinery and equipment, where moderate skill in more than one trade is required.
- Supervise and/or train one or more team members, as necessary.
- Work with contractors and suppliers in the planning and installation of repairs, installation and/or rearrangement of machinery or equipment as well as machine tool builders for repair/maintenance work on equipment and facilities.
Qualifications / Requirements
- Journeyman Certificate or equivalent experience.
- Experience troubleshooting various types of equipment.
- Experience in electrical repair.
- Familiar with schematics, ladder logic, and blueprint reading.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision, highly motivated.
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be able to obtain a forklift and aerial lift license.
- Must be able to complete first aid/CPR training to be qualified as a first responder.
- Must be able to safely operate a multimeter, basic hand tools and other testing equipment.
