Basic Function
Performs specific job responsibilities:
- Reads the set-up sheet and utilizes the file name to determine product to be manufactured, print specifications, machine adjustments, material requirements and/or special customer requirements.
- Sets-up, runs and continuously monitors the 1 ½” extrusion line for all standard products.
- Observes, measures, and inspects products at various stages of the production process to assure product is being produced per proper set-up sheet specifications.
- Applies print to cables using jet printers as required.
- Correctly completes all documentation specific to this job function.
- Cleans equipment to prevent contamination as required.
- Recognizes various defects and problems that arise during production. Assists in solving problems or notifies supervisor if required. Completes non-conformity paperwork for all defects and problems in products.
- Conducts all activities in accordance with safety procedures and guidelines.

Minimum Qualifications Required
- Education & Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and six months related experience and/or training preferred.
- Essential Skills, Abilities & Knowledge: Mechanical aptitude with the ability to operate a machine in a production environment. Demonstrated ability to use tools and measuring devices properly. Ability to read and follow basic instructions. Ability to understand and implement quality procedures. Math and handwriting skills required and the ability to correctly complete all documentation. Ability to work in a team environment with minimal supervision. Pays close attention to detail with the ability to complete assignments accurately and recognize and help resolve problems.
Working Conditions
- While performing this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and walk. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50lbs.
- This job requires a sighted individual (i.e., vision corrected to 20/20) for significant reading and computer usage. Specific vision abilities required by this job include color vision. This work also requires an individual with normal hearing (i.e., hearing corrected to normal ranges).
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, and toxic or caustic chemicals.

Compensation
- $17.30 – $31.05
- Shift Differential: Eligible night and weekend shifts receive an additional 10% shift differential.
