Machine Operator Trim 1st Shift
About the role
Cornwallstone Building Brands is a leading manufacturer of exterior building products for residential and low-rise non-residential buildings in North America. Headquartered in Cary, N.C., we serve residential and commercial customers across the new construction and Repair & Remodel (R&R) markets. Our market-leading portfolio of products spans vinyl windows, vinyl siding, stone veneer, metal roofing, metal wall systems and metal accessories.
Responsibilities
- Operates machine and instructs line help to safely meet production, customer, and company goals and requirements
- Supports company Core Values, participates in Safe Work environment, and completes observations
- Inspects equipment for safety
- Reads and understands a production order
- Mets company productivity requirements
- Mets company and customer quality requirements
- Uses forklift, crane, and manual handling of materials, complete proper documentation for materials produced
- Maintains good communication with Team, Supervisor, and Management
- Maintain promotability to Operator II and Operator III
- Standing and walking 8 to 12 hours everyday
- Varying and extreme working conditions outside (Hot, Cold, Rain, Shine)
Qualifications
- 1 year of experience - understands and competent in all aspects of safe & efficient operation Includes all line equipment, processes, and procedures
- Detail and Quality Oriented
- Verifiable Dependability and Energetic
- Good Communication Skills
- Basic Computer Skills (Email, Internet, Excel, Word)
- Requires experience with hand tools, wrenches, banding equipment, and nail guns
- Able to read a tape measure and other measuring devices
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist
- Forklift and Crane a plus - Must be trainable
- Flexible with working overtime and weekends when needed
