Machine Operator - Router

Williams-Sonoma, Inc. operates a dynamic, fast-paced supply chain network including distribution centers, manufacturing facilities, and transportation hubs. The Machine Operator position is based at the Sutter Street Manufacturing upholstery factory in Claremont, NC.

About the role

As a Machine Operator, you will operate a CNC router to cut wood parts into straight-cut dimensions and pattern-cuts, following production sheets and standard operating procedures (SOP) to meet daily production goals. You will perform routine maintenance on the router, maintain a clean work area, and adhere to all safety, quality, and inspection standards.

Responsibilities

• Operate a CNC router to cut wood parts into straight-cut dimensions and pattern-cuts
• Follow patterns with non-stop cutting of CNC router blade
• Read SOP and production sheets to complete daily production goals
• Perform routine maintenance and upkeep of the router
• Maintain a neat and clean work area
• Follow all quality standards and inspection requirements
• Comply with company safety practices
• Ensure regular attendance and adherence to work schedules
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience using a CNC router
• Ability to read SOP and production sheets
• Ability to follow patterns with non-stop cutting of CNC router blade
• Onsite and in-office role

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred)

Physical Requirements

• Regularly required to talk and hear
• Frequently required to stand for up to 10 hours per day
• Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel, twist, and lift up to 60 pounds
• Frequent use of hands and fingers to handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms
