Machine Operator / Part-Time Weekend Nights

About the Role

This is a part-time weekend night position operating machinery to produce quality products in a safe and efficient manner according to established procedures and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Work scheduled shifts, adhering to starting and stopping times (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights).
• Inspect assigned job at the beginning of every shift and after each break.
• Operate machinery on a rotating shift, including holidays, weekends, and overtime as required.
• Lift packages weighing up to twenty pounds frequently.
• Comply with corporate absenteeism and tardiness policy.
• Sit, stand, or walk for up to twelve continuous hours.
• Communicate problems or concerns to the supervisor in a timely fashion.
• Properly identify yarn packages for the lot running on assigned lines.
• Perform all job procedures and patrol the job to ensure all positions are running.
• Communicate quality or run-ability problems to the supervisor.
• Label yarn for identification purposes and repair breakouts immediately.
• Assist with changeovers following proper procedures.
• Initial labels prior to putting on finished packages.
• Report mechanical problems by notifying the supervisor and assigned technician.
• Follow waste prevention procedures and maintain housekeeping standards.
• Inspect yarn according to established procedures.

Schedule

Part-time weekend nights: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. 12-hour rotating shift starting in the PM.
