Machine Operator / Packer I - 1st Shift - (Mon - Fri 6am - 2:30pm)

About the role

Produce products in a timely and efficient manner for the customers.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate various machines and assemble parts as directed by Cell Lead.
• Read and understand bill of materials and blueprints of drawings.
• Communicate with Cell Lead on all issues related to discrepancies on drawing or BOM.
• Work closely with the Quality Department to conduct inspections during the production process and verify product meets customer specifications and industry standards.
• Operate air and power tools as needed in order to aid in the manufacturing process.
• Maintain productivity at levels that match or exceed production standards.
• Follow safety rules and use safe procedures.
• Keep all tools and supplies put away in the appropriate location on a daily basis.
• Keep work area clean and organized.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Basic computer knowledge and familiar with Excel.
• Read and understand blueprints/drawings.
• Mechanical aptitude.
• Communicate effectively.
• Knowledge of various types of equipment such as:
  • Air and power tools (Preferred but not needed)
  • Micrometers, calipers, rulers, tape measures, and gages
• Ability to work independently.

Physical Requirements

• Continuous standing, moving, and reaching with arms and hands.
• Frequently walks, bends, lifts, and carries items.
• Occasionally lifts and/or moves up to 50 lbs.

Work Environment

• Work performed in a shop environment.
• Exposed to shop elements such as noise, dust, and odors.

Pay

Competitive base salary: $18.00/Hour (subject to change dependent on physical location).
