Machine Operator Night Shift Line 3 K Team

Responsibilities

• Operates and monitors production equipment
• Identifies and corrects routine and repetitive upset conditions
• Performs daily tasks and works safely around and/or operating moving equipment
• Changes over all related equipment
• Performs repairs and preventive maintenance on all related equipment
• Maintains clean work areas, performs sanitation audits, and develops action plans to correct problem areas
• Performs expanded list of quality checks on raw ingredients, intermediate and finished products, and packaging materials
• Records production data required for measuring waste, downtime, or production efficiency, or other pertinent data as required
• Provides assistance in all related areas and participates in all activities of the Team
• Prepares production reports and plans ahead to maximize efficiency of Team and equipment
• Sets up for any Team Member during breaks/absences/vacations
• Affords assistance in other areas of the plant upon request
• Participates in special projects/assignments/committees
• Works with various support staff effectively and communicates pertinent information to other Team Members and shifts
• Coordinates shift activities related to production
• Participates in all training activities of the Team as required
• Maintains flexibility to attend meetings during non-scheduled times as required
• Performs a variety of audits as required

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of manufacturing or related experience (preferred)
• Intermediate level mechanical knowledge to include the ability to understand the operation of department equipment
• Intermediate level math skills to include knowledge of statistical process control
• Ability to work within a team environment and communicate effectively and efficiently within the team
• Ability to use basic hand and power tools
• Must be able to read, write, and communicate in the English language
• Ability to regularly lift and carry items up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to frequently stand for the duration of a 12-hour shift
• Regular attendance
• Willingness to work overtime when needed
• Good communication skills
• Must work well with others
