Machine Operator - Level 1
We are seeking an entry-level Machine Operator to join our team in Fombell, PA. This position provides extensive on-the-job training to develop the skills and knowledge necessary for ECAE Forging Operation. Initially, all tasks will be performed under direct supervision.
Responsibilities
- Learn and demonstrate proficiency in the operational procedures of the metal processing department.
- Work alongside ECAE Operators Level II, III, or Lead until deemed proficient enough in specific procedures to complete tasks independently.
- Understand and execute all safety and emergency procedures relevant to the job.
- Support and participate in all site safety programs to ensure a safe working environment.
- Maintain cleanliness, practice good housekeeping, and adhere to all environmental, health, and safety policies to improve the work environment.
- Participate in Continuous Improvement activities.
- Collaborate with others and work independently when trained.
- Troubleshoot where necessary.
- Work in hot environments as required.
Requirements
- Ability to work rotating 10-hour shifts, 5 days a week, with weekend overtime as needed.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience in forklift operation is highly valued.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to safety practices.
- Creative thinking and idea generation.
- Ability to communicate information clearly.
Pay
The annual base salary range for this position is $21.50 per hour plus a $2 per hour shift differential.
Schedule
Shifts rotate weekly: 5am to 3pm and 3pm to 1am.
