Machine Operator Lead IG

About the role

The Production Lead oversees daily production activities, ensuring that manufacturing processes run efficiently, safely, and meet quality standards. This role acts as a bridge between management and production staff, coordinating workflow, monitoring performance, and resolving issues to maintain productivity and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Counsel, mentor, coach, and develop employees.
• Cook, mentor, coach, and develop employees.
• Counsel, mentor, coach, and develop employees.
• Coordinate production workflow throughout the department and move resources as needed.
• Able to communicate to opposite shifts to ensure proper shift handoffs.
• Ensure all crew members are prepared and ready for duty including having their proper PPE.
• Able to enforce all company guidelines, standards, and policies including Safety & Quality.
• Able to make quick business decisions such as adjusting/moving personnel, as needed to meet product requirements.
• Perform daily quality checks.
• Cross trained to safely operate all equipment and cover all positions as needed.
• Train department employees to safely and accurately perform tasks to predetermined standards.
• Notify management of equipment malfunctions and other potential safety issues.
• Maintain accurate production records, report issues, and suggest improvements.
• Aid in onboarding and training new team members on processes and safety.
• Address production delays, equipment malfunctions, and staffing challenges promptly.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent (Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred).
• 3+ years of experience in manufacturing or production environment.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Knowledge of production processes, safety regulations, and quality control.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.

Pay

Position Pay Range: $24 USD - $28 USD
