The facility employs just under 400+ full time associates in a 5-shift operation, which encompasses 235,000 sq ft. along with 12,000 skus. By choice, we are committed to a diverse workforce - EOE/Protected Veteran/Disabled Job Description We're looking for a detail-oriented and efficient Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team in Lincolnton, United States. In this role, you will operate the VSL4 Jumbo Slitter on the 1st shift, ensuring precision cutting and converting of materials while maintaining the highest quality standards. You will be responsible for monitoring equipment performance, conducting quality inspections, and maintaining a safe and organized work environment. This position requires strong attention to detail, the ability to follow technical specifications, and a commitment to operational excellence. Operate and monitor the VSL4 Jumbo Slitter equipment throughout the shift, ensuring optimal performance and accuracySet up and adjust machine parameters according to job specifications and technical requirementsConduct regular quality inspections of finished products to ensure they meet established standards and specificationsMonitor material flow and equipment operation to identify and address any issues promptlyMaintain organized and clean work areas, adhering to all safety protocols and company proceduresPerform routine equipment checks and basic troubleshooting to minimize downtimeRecord production data, machine performance metrics, and any operational issues in designated logsCollaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production targets and deadlinesFollow all safety guidelines and wear appropriate personal protective equipment at all timesReport equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs to supervisory staff immediately Qualifications Proven experience operating industrial slitting or converting equipmentDemonstrated knowledge of VSL4 Jumbo Slitter operation or similar converting machineryStrong ability to read and interpret technical specifications, blueprints, and work instructionsExcellent attention to detail with a commitment to quality and precisionProficiency in basic troubleshooting and equipment maintenance awarenessAbility to work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environmentStrong organizational and time management skillsPhysical capability to perform manufacturing duties, including standing for extended periods and lifting materialsFamiliarity with safety protocols and commitment to maintaining a safe work environmentAbility to work reliably on 1st shift schedulePreferred: Experience with paper, film, or material converting processesPreferred: Knowledge of preventive maintenance proceduresPreferred: Forklift certification or material handling experience Additional Information Operate lift equipment Unloading and reloading pallets Printing labels Reading and following standard operating procedures Maintaining knowledge of high risk items and how to handle them Maintaining knowledge of all safety requirements and procedures and adhere to all Safety Absolutes Understanding milk run pick-up points Understanding of KanBan methodology Adhere to "5S" standards.
