Machine Operator II - BRAIDING (Second Shift)

Responsibilities

  • Performs repetitive bench or line assembly operations (including machine operations) to mass-produce medical device products.
  • Prepares for medical device assembly, including cut to length processes and packaging as needed.
  • Places parts in specified relationship to each other per written documentation.
  • Assembles products according to approved standards operating procedures.
  • Reads and follows operations sheets as to assembly, start-up, and operation of production equipment.
  • Performs moderately complex set-ups, adjustments, operates, maintains, and cleans machines of moderate complexity to perform assembly process on assembly line.
  • Includes inspection and cut to length process.
  • Works on line where tasks vary as different model of same article moves along line.
  • Performs self-inspection on all assembly work performed.
  • Conducts basic to semi-complex quality inspection of own or other's work in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.
  • Performs moderately complex first piece inspections using simple test equipment.
  • Maintains clean and orderly workstation.
  • Accurately records and completes manufacturing documentation, i.e., logbooks.
  • Communicates problems to supervisor, technician or engineer.
  • Performs stock/kanban transactions, and enters lot information into computer/terminal.
  • May work with engineers and/or technicians in pilot run of assemblies.
  • May perform assembly of custom products.
  • Provides advice and guidance to entry-level associates.
  • Participates in team-based activities.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma.
  • Requires a minimum of 2+ years of relevant experience.
  • Must have successfully completed training as an Operations Associate–Entry.
