Machine Operator II
About the Role
Tremco Construction Products Group brings together multiple divisions and brands under one umbrella, operating 21 manufacturing facilities, 6 distribution sites, and 3 R&D/technology sites across North America. This role involves safely starting, troubleshooting, and operating manufacturing equipment. There are three levels of Machine Operator (I, II, & III), with level determined by experience, ability to assume various roles, and demonstrated troubleshooting skills to ensure efficient cycles and minimal downtime.
Responsibilities
- Perform work in a safe manner by following all written and verbally communicated safety rules and procedures.
- Follow standard work procedures to operate and maintain assigned machine(s).
- Routinely meet or exceed production output rates per standards.
- Ensure product meets certain tolerances and specifications.
- Perform routine inspections per quality standards.
- Understand production instructions and maintain accurate paperwork.
- Package, label, and store products.
- Cross-train on other production functions as business needs dictate.
- Clean and maintain assigned area to ensure proper functionality.
- Report and assist with resolving safety, quality, and mechanical issues.
- Participate in the continuous improvement process.
- Set up and operate various off-line and secondary equipment, if appropriate.
Requirements
- No formal educational requirement.
- Machine Operator I: 0 years of experience.
- Machine Operator II: 1+ years of experience.
- Machine Operator III: 3+ years of experience.
- Previous experience operating a machine in a manufacturing environment requiring speed and dexterity is preferred.
- Forklift certification preferred.

Physical Demands
Incumbent must be able to stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach, climb, balance, kneel, talk, hear, and lift up to 50 lbs.
Pay
The hourly range for this position generally ranges between $17.25 and $19.55, based on potential employee qualifications, operations needs, and other considerations permitted by law.
