Responsibilities

• Set up, change over, and operate a complete range of equipment and machine tools to process materials into parts for custom vehicle assembly.
• Work from shop orders, specifications, prints, and instructions to process raw materials or in-process parts through operations to meet product specifications.
• Position processed materials on designated cart systems and move them to succeeding operations to facilitate production flow.
• Perform visual and dimensional checks of work to verify parts meet specifications.
• Read blueprints and understand basic math, including decimal, fraction, and angle dimensions.
• Perform or assist with any operations as required to maintain workflow or respond to production requirements.

Requirements

• Ability to operate basic fabrication equipment such as mills, brake press, and saw.
• Use measuring equipment to hold specific tolerances.
• Read blueprint information for layout work.

Physical Requirements

• Bending, twisting, lifting, pulling, and pushing variable types of raw material in vertical and horizontal positions.
• Lift/Push/Pull: Exert up to 40 pounds of force frequently and/or up to 20 pounds constantly.
• Climbing: Ascend or descend ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles, etc.
• Stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and reaching.
• Standing for sustained periods and walking long distances or between work sites.
• Visual acuity for operating machines and performing mechanical tasks.
• Operate motor vehicles or heavy equipment.
• Work in hazardous conditions, including proximity to moving mechanical parts, electrical current, high places, and exposure to heat or chemicals.
• Participate in companywide stretches at 7:00 AM and 11:15 AM daily.

Pay

The pay scale for this position in New York is $22.49 – $28.74 per hour, based on meeting all role requirements. The base pay may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The company offers a pay-for-performance philosophy allowing top performers to earn more based on continued success.
