About the role

You will join Medtronic’s Surgical Innovations Manufacturing team located in our Warsaw, IN manufacturing facility. We are the global pioneer of advanced surgical instruments. Together, we deliver intelligent solutions, inspiring confidence in surgeons to enhance patient outcomes today and tomorrow.

Responsibilities

• Operates light-duty bench- or floor-type machine tools and equipment such as laser etch, shrink wrap, CEA packaging sealers, blasting cabinets, shot peening, non-sterile packaging baggers, drills or punch presses, power brakes, shears or saws.
• Able to gown up and work in the sterile clean room environment.
• May set up machining machines and make adjustments, and perform maintenance on machines.
• Checks work using prescribed gauges, jigs and fixtures to measure close tolerances.
• Some machines may be numerically controlled.
• May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.

Requirements

• Requires basic knowledge of manufacturing or supply chain operational procedures, systems, and tools gained through experience and/or relevant training, education, or certifications.
• Requires 1+ years of related experience, which may include a combination of practical experience and applicable training, education, or certification.
• No minimum education requirement.
• For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.

Skills

• Previous experience operating light-duty manufacturing or machining equipment in a regulated production environment.
• Familiarity with basic machine setup, minor adjustments, and routine preventive maintenance.
• Experience working with numerically controlled or CNC equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and technical drawings.
• Knowledge of precision measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, jigs, and fixtures.
• Understanding of statistical process control, in-process inspection, and quality documentation practices.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain close tolerances and high quality standards.
• Experience supporting continuous improvement, lean manufacturing, or 5S initiatives.
• Basic troubleshooting skills and the ability to identify equipment or process issues early.

Pay

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD): $43,200.00 - $64,800.00. This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Operations Incentive Plan (OIP). The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location.
