Machine Operator II

About the role
We are looking for a talented Machine Operator to assist in producing high-quality parts to customer specifications consistently and on time. The successful applicant will be an excellent team player with exceptional analytical and technical skills, and a drive to continually learn and grow with the company.
Responsibilities
- Follow documented procedures for generating assigned production work daily.
- Load fixtures and make adjustments to processes as needed.
- Utilize a microscope to inspect parts and identify quality issues.
- Refer to blueprints to ensure jobs are processed in accordance with specifications.
- Monitor equipment to ensure proper working order; recommend maintenance and repair.
- Set up jobs as appropriate.
- Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations.
- Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading technical publications.
Requirements
- 1-3 years of experience as a Machine Operator in a machining or high-tech manufacturing environment preferred.
- Educational background in light industrial trades and/or a post-secondary vocational program is a plus.
- Mechanical aptitude necessary for loading fixtures and making process adjustments.
- Demonstrated ability using Windows-based computers.
- Ability to follow trust-based policies.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to work full shifts and overtime as needed.
- Flexibility to work on a variety of jobs depending on business need.
- Analytical ability and detail orientation.
- Background in promoting process improvement.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to interface with customers to troubleshoot issues and provide exceptional service.

$19-$20 per hour
