About the role

As a key member of the Production team, the Machine Operator II sets up, runs, and changes over multiple textile machines independently with a focus on safety, quality, teamwork, and continuous improvement. The Operator follows standard procedures to efficiently produce high-quality products, inspects goods, and documents results.

Responsibilities

  • Follow all safety rules, including Lock-Out Tag-Out procedures and use of Personal Protective Equipment (hearing, eye protection, safety shoes).
  • Perform all functions and responsibilities of a Machine Operator I.
  • Certified operation of 2 or more looms and/or cards combined.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve machine or material issues using problem-solving skills and Lean Tools.
  • Identify machine and material issues before they become severe.
  • Produce products that consistently meet quality standards.
  • Maintain machines in good working condition through daily preventative maintenance.
  • Meet or exceed productivity targets.
  • Assist with maintaining and updating standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Ensure regular and consistent attendance.
  • Participate as a key member of Brickle Group teams and contribute to continuous improvement.
  • Formally and informally train others.
  • Understand and apply Lean tools and concepts; assist peers in Root Cause Analysis and other Lean tools.
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

  • 1–3 years of related manufacturing experience.
  • Lean manufacturing experience.
  • Experience in or knowledge of the textile industry.
  • Ability to operate multiple machines in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
  • Math skills required.
  • Problem-solving ability and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated experience with Lean Concepts.
  • Forklift/Clamp Truck certification.
  • Flexibility to work overtime and varied shifts as business needs arise.
  • Dependability and punctuality.
