Machine Operator I (Entry Level) - 2nd Shift (Mon - Fri 2:30pm - 11pm)
About the role
Harger, now a part of TE, a leading manufacturer of lightning protection and grounding components, is seeking a Production Operator to operate various machines to produce parts for internal and external customers.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate various machines and assemble parts as directed by Cell Lead.
- Read and understand bill of materials and blueprints of drawings.
- Communicate with Cell Lead on all issues related to discrepancies on drawing or BOM.
- Work closely with the Quality Department to conduct inspections during the production process and verify product meets customer specifications and industry standards.
- Operate air and power tools as needed in order to aid in the manufacturing process.
- Maintain productivity at levels that match or exceed production standards.
- Follow safety rules and use safe procedures.
- Keep all tools and supplies put away in the appropriate location on a daily basis.
- Keep work area clean and organized.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent work experience.
- Basic computer knowledge.
- Read and understand blueprints/drawings (preferred, but will train).
- Mechanical aptitude (hands-on work).
- Ability to convert fractions to decimals.
- Communicate effectively.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English.
- Knowledge of various types of equipment such as: Air and power tools, Micrometers, calipers, rulers, tape measures and gages.
- Ability to work independently.
Physical Requirements
- Continuous standing, moving and reaching with arms and hands.
- Frequently walks, bends, lifts and carries items.
- Sometimes lifts and/or moves up to 50 lbs.

Compensation
Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $18.00/Hour + 10% = $19.80/Hour (subject to change dependent on physical location)
