About the Role
Successful candidate will be trained on Fabrication Department machines, including Mill, Lathe, Laser, Brake Press, Burnout Table, and Saw. You will perform various tasks on these machines or other work as directed by the Lead Person or Supervisor.
Responsibilities
- Perform all aspects of Fabrication Department machine operations, working collaboratively with other employees as part of a team.
- Arrive promptly and consistently for work each day.
- Follow direction from area supervision and adhere to instructions.
- Read and interpret blueprints and other technical documents required for machinist tasks.
- Develop efficiency with mechanical equipment and learn all aspects of the job as required.
- Maintain a productive and non-disruptive work ethic, minimizing scrap or rework while improving quality.
- Adhere to all company safety rules outlined in the safety manual and follow all company policies.
- Maintain company equipment and work areas in a clean and orderly manner.
- Strive for continuous improvement in all job requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Basic computer skills.
- Exceptional attendance record.
- Ability to climb ladders and alternate between sitting and standing as needed for job tasks.
- Ability to lift a maximum of 50 lbs. occasionally, as required by the job.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. and/or push up to 50 lbs.
- Capability to reach and grab parts up to 10 lbs.
- Good hand dexterity and balance to operate all necessary equipment.
- Daily use of all five senses to maintain safety for yourself and the team.
