Machine Operator I

The Role

This position will set up, operate and perform simple maintenance on a variety of specialized production equipment. May sort, load, unload, check and inspect. Keep necessary records, reports rejects and failure patterns. Works to sketches, diagrams, drawings, written and verbal instructions. Maintain a quality focus while maintaining production rates.

Responsibilities

• The ability to understand written and verbal instructions.
• The ability to read and interpret basic blueprints.
• Responds appropriately to system, process, or material problems.
• Performs required inventory functions (e.g. inquiries, updates, transactions, certs).
• Follows SOP’s using correct materials and tools.
• Performs required tasks for product changeover and startup.
• Previous experience in the operation of high volume manufacturing equipment and the use of common hand tools.
• Set-up machine.
• Understands all job hazards, demonstrates safe behaviors.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Education Requirements

• A High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Minimum of 1 year manufacturing experience.

Physical Demands/Work Environment

• Continuous standing.
• Frequent walking.
• Frequent pushing/pulling.
• Frequent upper extremity use.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Schedule

The schedule for this position is Monday through Thursday 5:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. with Fridays as Overtime.
