Machine Operator I

About the role

Maintain and operate machinery to produce high-quality products. Perform quality control and troubleshoot issues.

Responsibilities

• Ensure machinery runs smoothly and is properly maintained.
• Operate machinery and equipment safely according to safety protocols and instructions.
• Move materials and ensure paperwork and parts are maintained with each work order.
• Troubleshoot issues and perform maintenance, reporting immediate concerns to Maintenance.
• Follow reporting and recordkeeping procedures, and report problems to supervisor.
• Comply with all safety and health regulations.
• Clean machinery and maintain cleanliness in work area.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical operations.
• Ability to take accurate measurements using various devices.
• Previous work experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret work orders, blueprints, production schedules, and instructions.
• Knowledge of different types of structural steel.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to organize and prioritize work, and concentrate on multiple tasks simultaneously.
