Machine Operator I - 1st shift
Job Summary
Responsible for the set-up, calibration, and operation of machines in the production process to create a part at the Vidalia, GA location.
Responsibilities
- Creates part based on blueprints or models on simple machines with limited variability, repetitive in motion
- Responsible for the daily upkeep of machine (5-S specifically)
- Responsible in Quality of produced units
Qualifications And Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- 18 years or older
- Mandatory mathematical acumen
- Minimum of 1-4 years of Assembler l experience
- Knowledgeable in operating a hydraulic press
- Can work on simple machines, can read blueprints and do simple calculations related to programming machinery
Physical Requirements
- Perform tasks requiring hand and eye coordination, with good hand dexterity (gripping and pinching repetitively) for more than 2/3’s of work shift
- Lift, carry, push, or pull objects weighing 10 pounds continuously, 25 pounds repetitively and 50 pounds occasionally
- Bend, twist, squat, kneel, and/or stoop repetitively 6 to 8 hours per day
- Reach overhead repetitively for more than 2/3’s of work shift
- Stand continuously for 8 to 10 hours per day
- Climb up and down stairs up to 3 hours per day
- Use of senses to detect quality defects and unsafe conditions
