Job Summary
The Machine Operator is responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining production equipment in a food manufacturing facility. This role ensures that products are produced efficiently, safely, and in compliance with quality and food safety standards.Key Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and adjust food processing and packaging machinery according to production requirements
- Monitor equipment performance to ensure consistent product quality and output
- Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance on machines
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and report major malfunctions to maintenance or supervisors
- Follow all food safety regulations, including GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), HACCP, and sanitation procedures
- Maintain accurate production records, logs, and reports
- Ensure proper handling, measuring, and loading of raw materials
- Keep work area clean and organized in accordance with sanitation standards
- Work collaboratively with team members, supervisors, and quality control staff
- Adhere to all workplace safety policies and procedures
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or GED (preferred)
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or food production environment preferred
- Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to operate machinery
- Ability to read and follow instructions, recipes, and safety guidelines
- Strong attention to detail and quality

Physical Requirements

Work Environment
- Food manufacturing/processing facility
- Exposure to machinery noise, temperature changes, and food production materials
- May require shift work, including nights, weekends, and overtime
