Our Conroe Facility at 500 Conroe Park West Dr, Conroe, TX 77303 produces downhole products for drilling activities in North America. The plant operates 24/7 to meet high demand, offering an air-conditioned, highly organized, and clean 300,000 sq. ft. fabrication facility equipped with new CNC Machines (Mazak, Mori Seiki, DMG Mori, Weiler, etc.) and a strong safety program.

Responsibilities

  • Produce quality parts on CNC machines (lathes, milling machines, etc.) in a timely, safe, and efficient manner under supervision
  • Operate, set up, and perform first article inspections on production runs using CNC Machines
  • Load parts using overhead lifting equipment, prove tapes, operate controls, set offsets, make simple edits, deburr, and inspect parts for conformance
  • Identify problems before production runs and monitor machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance conditions; adjust controls as needed
  • Read blueprints, precision measuring instruments, and job orders to determine dimensions, tolerances, and tooling requirements
  • Maintain knowledge of dimensions, tolerances, and tooling instructions (fixtures, feed rates, cutting speeds, depth of cut, and cutting tools)
  • Prove out new programs and make simple edits to NC programs on numerically controlled machines
  • Keep equipment and work area clean and perform basic preventative maintenance
  • Read, interpret, and understand work orders, Bills of Materials, and related documentation
  • Inspect raw materials or verify part serial numbers before machining
  • Perform finish product inspections and maximize yields to minimize defects while maintaining high-quality standards
  • Maintain NOV guidelines on safety, quality, and delivery
  • Clean work areas to uphold health and safety standards
  • Champion facility goals for Safety, Quality, Innovation, and Cost; provide feedback on process improvements, cost savings, and efficiency opportunities
  • Collaborate with other departments and business units
  • Perform other reasonable tasks to support the team, operations, or facility

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to pass a drug screen and background check
  • 2+ years of CNC mill or lathe experience
  • Knowledge of G & M Codes

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1+ years of knowledge of standard safety and manufacturing processes
  • 2+ years of experience in a machine shop/manufacturing facility
  • Experience reading part drawings/blueprints
  • Familiarity with measurement tools
  • Computer experience
