Responsibilities
- Perform all tasks in a safe manner, using appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and complying with all safety regulations.
- Participate in Behavior-Based Safety (BBS) and near-miss reporting.
- Foster a team-oriented attitude while consistently meeting productivity standards.
- Complete required documentation accurately and on time.
- Troubleshoot quality or productivity issues related to the team or machinery.
- Maintain a positive, team-oriented attitude and strong communication skills.
- Multi-task with minimal supervision while maintaining keen attention to detail.
- Adjust machinery as necessary and suggest process or procedure improvements.
- Coordinate with lab personnel, Team Leaders, and Senior Process Engineers to address issues and implement improvements.
- Perform 5S and other housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Obtain and maintain three certifications; train others as needed.
- Adhere to all departmental rules, regulations, and procedures.
- Perform any other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school education or GED equivalent.
- Ability to read a tape measure.
- Recent manufacturing experience is preferred.
Working Conditions
- Job functions performed in and around a manufacturing facility.
- Work is conducted on the plant floor with frequent contact with others.
- Frequent ascending and descending of up to three flights of stairs over extremely fast-moving machinery.
- Safe access to fast-moving machinery, including rolls with inward nip points.
- Prolonged standing and walking, frequent bending, stooping, stretching, and manual dexterity.
- Occasional lifting up to 50 pounds.
