Machine Operator - Converting/Slitter

Position Description

Title: Converting Operator
Department: Production
Immediate Supervisor: Plant Supervisory Staff
Status: Non-Exempt Hourly

Essential Accountabilities

• Set up and operate multiple converting machinery including Band Saw, Perforator, Sealer 2000, Sheeter, and Troubleshoot machinery and make adjustments as needed.
• Produce orders to schedule and specification.
• Prepare goods for shipping using various equipment.
• Label finished goods, place on pallets as necessary.
• Perform quality control checks.
• Able to read tape measure.
• Must be detail oriented and have a sense of urgency.
• Use PPE as required.
• Maintain good housekeeping.

Essential Skills and Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Manufacturing experience is helpful.
• No travel required.
• Must be able to work in varying temperatures above 95 degrees Fahrenheit.
• Able to repeatedly lift up to a maximum of 50 lbs.
• Must have basic computer skills.
• Must have basic math skills.
