We are hiring for multiple Machine Operators to join our team and play a vital role in our manufacturing process.
Responsibilities
- Operate assigned production lines to ensure product is produced in accordance with established quality and product standards.
- Familiarize yourself with daily production goals and achieve them for each line assignment.
- Evaluate and discuss the operation of assigned machinery with the Machine Operator from the previous shift.
- Operate and adjust production line equipment in accordance with established production standards, perform preventative maintenance, and report any problems.
- Perform quality checks on containers to ensure proper specifications are maintained and document any problems or adjustments made to assigned machinery.
- Check and maintain defined levels of all raw materials used in production on assigned machinery.
- Keep all assigned machines and areas neat and clean of debris, including cleaning assigned areas of the building or pieces of equipment as instructed by your Supervisor.
- Conduct yourself in a safe manner, adhering to all required safety protocols and policies, and wear PPE properly in accordance with company standards.
- Follow plant-specified job specifications and task lists.
- Work assigned shifts, including overtime and attending after-hour meetings as needed.
- Perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.
- Responsible for food safety, food quality, and site safety.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a machine operator in the plastics industry.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and technical skills.
- Knowledge of blow molding machine operation and maintenance procedures.
- Familiarity with different types of plastic materials and their properties.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Attention to detail and ability to perform quality checks and inspections.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
