Machine Operator, Bindery
About the role

We’re looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Bindery Operator to work on one or more of the following machines: Perfect Binder, Stitcher, Folder, or Cutter. You’ll handle small-format products requiring bindery work before they’re packed and shipped to clients.
Shifts available: Monday–Wednesday 6:00 am–6:00 pm or Thursday–Saturday 6:00 am–6:00 pm (36-hour work week consisting of three 12-hour shifts on a rotating schedule that changes every 4 months). Position is overtime eligible.
Responsibilities
- Complete jobs successfully and provide a quality product customers will reorder.
- Run bindery equipment in a small-format capacity.
- Operate existing bindery equipment and learn to run new equipment.
- Troubleshoot production problems to ensure productivity and quality standards are met.
- Perform Quality Control (QC) procedures to meet Company standards.
- Perform basic maintenance of bindery machines.
- Complete miscellaneous projects and tasks as requested by management.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Two-year Technical or Trade School diploma (preferred).
- Three years’ experience as a bindery operator, cutter, folder, or booklet maker.
- 2–5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience in a fast-paced mid-size company.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
- Thorough and organized approach to work.
- Strong attention to detail on every project.
- Basic computer skills, including Pace and Google Suite.
- Self-motivated, fast learner, and proactive in identifying customer and corporate needs.
- Ability to plan, prioritize, coordinate, and manage work effectively.
- Complete projects accurately within deadlines while meeting Company quality standards.
- Effective time management and self-management skills.
- Understand and maintain the confidentiality of company, employee, and customer information.
- Flexibility to adapt to change.

Pay
Compensation Range: $33,883 – $36,560 annually. Range reflects our good-faith assessment based on market conditions, experience level, and internal equity considerations.
Schedule
36-hour work week consisting of three 12-hour shifts on a rotating schedule that changes every 4 months. Shifts available: Monday–Wednesday 6:00 am–6:00 pm or Thursday–Saturday 6:00 am–6:00 pm. Overtime eligible.
