Machine Operator/Attendant

About the role

As a Machine Operator/Attendant at the Penbryn location (Berlin, NJ), you will operate packaging equipment, perform quality control inspections, and solve problems to ensure the safe and smooth operation of people, equipment, and product. The role requires flexibility to work any shift, including rotating schedules, weekends, holidays, and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Operate packaging equipment
• Perform quality control inspections
• Problem solve to maintain safe and smooth operations
• Always use safe work practices and follow all safety rules and procedures
• Immediately report any hazardous conditions
• Fully participate in safety programs
• Wear required personal protective equipment (protective shoes, glasses, ear plugs, bump cap or hard hat, gloves, dust mask, or respirator)

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Ability to read, write, and comprehend instructions
• Ability to work flexible rotating shifts (Dupont Schedule)

Qualifications

• Regularly required to stand and walk
• Occasionally required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; communicate accurately with coworkers
• Frequently engage in repetitive motions
• Frequently lift, push, or pull 50 pounds; occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds with assistance
• Visual acuity required for close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus

Pay

Base hourly rate: $20.51/hr, increasing to $24.12/hr.

Schedule

28‑day working cycle – switching from Days to Nights with a total of 14 working days per month: 4 on, 3 off, 3 on, 1 off, 3 on, 3 off, 4 on, 7 off. Requires ability to work any shift, including rotating, weekends, holidays, and overtime.
