Machine Operator
About the role
As a Machine Operator, you will perform required tasks to keep equipment running, including minor setups and troubleshooting equipment issues. This position reports directly to the Department Manager and is supported by the department’s Team Lead(s).
Responsibilities
- Use blueprints to perform visual product inspections to verify conformance to print specifications and track conformance using the Screw MFG Inspection sheet and SPC program. (40%)
- Change tools and adjust machines back to proper specification. (30%)
- Perform housekeeping, daily machine maintenance, and troubleshoot manufacturing issues. (20%)
- Drive a forklift to retrieve raw material or deliver finished products to the outbound staging area. (10%)

Requirements
- High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
- Experience reading blueprints
- Forklift experience
- Ability to work independently or with a team
- Mechanical ability and commitment to safety, including demonstrating safe work practices and promoting a safe work environment
- Accountability and dependability, including reliable and punctual attendance
Schedule
This position works Monday through Thursday, 3:00 PM – 1:30 AM, with overtime as needed.
Pay
$25.00 - $29.09 per hour, plus a $1.00 shift differential.

- Regularly required to stand, walk, see, talk, and hear; occasionally required to sit.
- Operates large equipment while standing for approximately 8-12 hours, regularly twisting and bending in a repetitive motion.
- May frequently lift, carry, push, and pull materials and objects weighing up to 50 pounds, and heavier weights with proper equipment.
- Exposure to heat and/or cold, loud noise levels, vibration, and moving mechanical parts.

This is a full-time, hourly position located in Gallatin, TN. Relocation is not available for this position. This job requires 0% domestic travel.
