About the role

E-ONE is seeking a Machine Operator to join our team. Established in 1974, E-ONE is a leading manufacturer of custom and commercial fire trucks. As part of Terex Corporation, we are dedicated to safety, innovation, and quality.

Responsibilities

Work from shop orders, specifications, prints and instructions.
Receive and process raw materials or in-process parts through any range of operations to suit product specifications.
Set up, change over and operate the complete range of equipment, machine tools.
Position processed material on designated cart system and move to succeeding operations as required to facilitate production flow.
Perform visual and dimensional check of work to verify parts are to specification.
Blueprint reading, understand basic math, including decimal, fraction and angle dimensions.
Perform or assist with any operations, as required or directed, to maintain workflow or respond to production requirements.

Qualifications

Must be able to operate basic fabrication equipment such as Mills, brake press and saw.
Use measuring equipment to hold specific tolerances.
Must be able to read blueprint information for layout work to complete tasks on specific machines.

Physical Requirements

Bend, twist, lift, pull and push variable types of raw material in both vertical and horizontal positions to load and unload machines.
Lift/Push/Pull - Exerting up to 40 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Climb - Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles and the like, using feet and legs and/or hands and arms.
Squat/Kneel - Bending body downward and forward by bending leg and spine.
Moving about on hands and knees or hands and feet. Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.
Standing - Particularly for sustained periods of time.
Walking - Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for long distances or moving from one work site to another.
Visual acuity to perform an activity such as: operating machines such as lathes, drill presses, power saws and mills where the seeing job is at or within arm’s reach; performing mechanical tasks of a non-repetitive nature such as carpenters, technicians, service people, plumbers, painters, mechanics, etc.
Subject to hazards: proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, working on scaffolding and high places, exposure to high heat or exposure to chemicals.
Physically capable of participating in companywide stretches at 7:00AM and 11:15 daily.

Pay

The pay scale for newly hired employees in this position at this location in New York is based on meeting all of the requirements of the role. The base pay offered for the role may vary depending on the candidate’s job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. We are proud to offer competitive benefits in addition to competitive pay. Schedule

Available Schedules: Monday - Thursday from 5:00 AM - 3:30 PM, plus Optional Overtime on Friday and Saturday or Monday - Thursday from 6:00 am - 4:30 pm, plus Optional Overtime on Friday and Saturday.
