Responsibilities

• Operates a Rewinder machine to run rolls of material and position them in the desired unwind direction as specified.
• Continuously checks for print and seam quality.
• Removes defective material and splices the roll web back together per specification.
• Utilizes tools such as a ruler, safety knife, and hole punch during splicing and other procedures.
• Handles rolls and palletizes them carefully to avoid damage.
• Identifies basic printing and seam-related defects.
• Records and enters data on designated paperwork and in the company operations system (Globetek).
• Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform basic arithmetic (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) for label counts and conversions using American units of money, weight, volume, and distance.
• Ability to use simple Windows-based applications.

The physical demands of this position include:

• Frequent standing, walking, and use of hands to feel, touch, reach with arms and hands.
• Regularly talking and hearing.
• Occasional climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
• Ability to regularly lift or move up to 50 pounds.
• Specific vision requirements: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
