Machine Operator

Responsibilities

• Perform daily inspections of the forklift and operate it safely.
• Cut cores for all lines while minimizing waste.
• Transport packaging supplies to and from lines, and return them to storage.
• Transport boxed materials to and from designated areas.
• Maintain core and corrugated storage areas in an organized manner.
• Transport finished goods to loading docks and load them onto shuttles or trailers.
• Unload materials from shuttles or trailers upon arrival.
• Gather and dispose of all garbage in appropriate dumpsters.
• Ensure all materials entering the plant are clean and free of debris.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent attendance and safety records.
• Familiarity with best practice safety procedures.
• Completion of ISO training.
• Good written and oral communication skills.

Physical Demands

• Work a 12-hour shift.
• Stand, walk, kneel, bend, and reach frequently.
• Push and pull roll carts and hoists.
• Lift up to 55 pounds.
• Ascend and descend ladders throughout the workday.
