About the role
The primary role of the Machine Operator is to manufacture quality products in a safe manner. Responsibilities include assembling and/or fitting parts together to form complete units or subassemblies at a bench or conveyor line, using simple hand tools and/or power or special assembly tools.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate machines
- Load/unload machines (may be assisted by automation or ergonomic aids)
- Relieve fellow operators
- Operate manual material handling equipment to restock production areas with raw material or purchased parts
- Move wheeled carts, racks, or bins containing work in progress to adjacent production areas
- Inspect product quality
- Maintain cleanliness of surrounding work areas
- Perform additional duties as assigned based on plant needs
Requirements
- Ability to frequently lift up to 45 lbs
- Ability to frequently bend, reach, or twist
- Ability to frequently lift and transfer 30 lbs at waist height
- Ability to stand and/or walk for long periods of time
- Must pass a drug and alcohol screen (including marijuana)
- Light to medium manufacturing experience preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Manufacturing experience: 1 year (preferred)
- Shift availability: Night Shift (preferred) or Day Shift (preferred)

$18.00 per hour
