Machine Operator

Physical location: Thorofare Retail, 33 Phoenix Drive, Thorofare, NJ 08012.

About the role

You will start as a General Helper on a probationary period, then transition to a Machine Operator role upon qualification. The position is hourly full-time on 2nd Shift (3:00pm–11:00pm) or 3rd Shift (11:00pm–7:00am), Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities

• Safely run machines and follow all safety rules and practices at all times.
• Count and stack finished product.
• Learn customer requirements and specifications by reading factory work orders, print cards, and design specifications.
• Utilize basic shop math.
• Accurately read tape measures, gauges, and other test equipment.
• Coordinate activities with other machine crew members to efficiently set up and run orders.
• Maintain quality and production standards as required by the company.
• Continually monitor the quality and quantity of production.
• Maintain housekeeping continually during the assigned shift.
• Perform quality inspections and tests, and record findings.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervision.

Requirements

• 1 year of hands-on industrial plant manufacturing experience.
• Corrugated industry experience preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
• Ability to accurately read a tape measure and ruler.
• Ability to use basic shop math.
• Ability to learn, follow instructions, ask questions, and work effectively as a member of a team.

Pay

$20.81/hr during the probationary General Helper role, then $21.76/hr up to $30.32/hr once qualified as a Machine Operator.
