About the role
Experience in the CNC field, blueprint reading, and gauge use is required. Must work well in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the quality of produced work
- Perform tasks to operate assigned machine(s)
- Start and stop machine(s) as needed during the process
- Load and unload machine(s) as required
- Position parts correctly within the machine work holding where applicable
- Change machine tools as required
- Make process adjustments to maintain productivity and part quality based on skill level
- Adhere to all operator-required quality requirements
- Perform all required inspections and document inspection results per requirements
- Correctly use all required inspection and measurement gauges
- Use SPC (paper charts or SPC computer system) as required
- Package and label parts correctly per requirements
- Ensure machines run to performance requirements
- Monitor, control, and correctly identify scrap to maintain product quality
- Adhere to all required safety practices, including the use of required PPE
- Ensure all machine safeguards are in place during operations
- Complete all required documentation accurately and in a timely manner
- Enter required information into the XPPS system using designated shop floor computer terminals
- Perform and complete all required operator preventative maintenance tasks
- Perform all required housekeeping duties, including 5S tasks (tap & go)
- Follow all trained work instructions as required
- Communicate process status effectively to other employees
- Perform visual inspections as required
- Train other machine operators as assigned
- Operate robotics as required
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide simple numbers
- Ability to read and use gauges and other inspection measurement equipment correctly and accurately
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions
- Ability to use equipment as trained
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment
- Shift flexibility, including weekends as required
- Ability to read basic blueprints
- Good attendance record
- Negative pre-employment drug test
