CT Polymers is seeking a dedicated, detail-oriented Machine Operator to join our team in person. You will set up and run industrial machinery, manage warehouse materials using a forklift, and maintain high-quality production standards. This role requires a strong work ethic, mathematical accuracy, and the agility to handle physically demanding tasks.
Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and maintain simple and complex industrial machinery.
- Clean production machinery and remain responsible for company-provided tools.
- Supply production lines and store materials using a sit-down forklift.
- Clean boxes, lids, and skids thoroughly before staging them.
- Complete quality control logs, production ledgers, and box tickets legibly.
- Compute material weights accurately using gross, tare, and net calculations.
- Participate in shift meetings, training sessions, and communicate with coworkers.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of forklift experience is mandatory.
- Ability to push, pull, lift, and carry up to 65 pounds.
- Stand, walk, stoop, and bend 80% of the shift.
- Stamina to get on and off forklifts repeatedly and stand for long periods.
- Proficient using calculators, adding machines, and industrial scales.
- Ability to troubleshoot equipment issues and work under deadline pressure.
- Valid Forklift Certification is highly preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
Pay
From $16.00 to $17.50 per hour.
Schedule
12-hour shifts, 2-2-3 schedule.
