Machine Operator

Responsibilities
- Preparation and Operation of Tools and Equipment:
- Set up and prepare tools and equipment for production and assembly line use.
- Ensure that all necessary materials and components are available and in proper quantities.
- Conduct routine inspections to identify any issues with tools and equipment before operation.
- Operate equipment that cuts wood and wood products to specified lengths.
- Equipment Monitoring:
- Operate machinery to support product and material flow along the production line.
- Monitor equipment functionality, looking out for jams, glitches, or irregularities.
- Address minor jams and disruptions promptly to minimize downtime and maintain efficiency.
- Report any larger equipment issues or malfunctions to the technical maintenance team.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure a smooth production flow.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines while operating machinery.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, following company safety standards.
- Report any safety hazards or concerns to supervisors immediately.
- Other Duties as Assigned.
- Physical Requirements:
- Lift and carry 77 lbs at least 33% of the work shift.
- Push items with a maximum force of 34 lbs./feet.
- Pull items with a maximum force of 34 lbs./feet.
