POSITION SUMMARY

Maintains assigned machines/parts according to production supervisor/molding cell leader's direction, ensuring product and process quality and integrity.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Exercise safe work practices.
  • Ensure work area is safe and free of safety hazards.
  • Comply with QMS and EHS Standard policies and procedures.
  • Practice good housekeeping/5S.
  • Support and promote company quality objectives, policies, and procedures.
  • React to non-conforming and out-of-control conditions by following company procedures (e.g., NCR Plan).
  • Follow Job Standards and Work Instructions.
  • Measure parts per Job Standard.
  • Monitor machines for quality and objective rates.
  • Packaging of product.
  • Regrind runners.
  • Packaging of product.
  • Trim gates from product as needed.
  • Complete AX Label per work order.
  • Comply with Company and Corporate policies.
  • Work in a team-oriented, collaborative, fast-paced environment.
  • Practice and promote NBS tools.
  • Follow Code of Conduct & Anti-Corruption Policies.

NON-ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Communicate with other operators about daily issues.

JOB QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

  • R = Required
  • (P) = Preferred
  • High School Diploma (P)
  • (P) Manufacturing experience

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Stand, walk, push, pull, reach overhead and bend to the floor.
  • Occasionally exert 25 to 60 pounds of force.
  • Frequently exert 10 to 25 pounds of force.
  • Constantly exert up to 35 pounds of force.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS REQUIRED

  • (Some of the following certificates/licenses may be acquired through training, but the employee must be able to demonstrate the capacity to obtain these requirements when placed in this position.)

VISUAL ACUITY

  • Near acuity and accommodation required for reading machine dial gauges, blueprints, and precision measuring instruments used in part inspection.

HEARING ABILITY

  • Ability to monitor machine sounds to identify and diagnose changes to take appropriate action.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • High noise levels from operating machines.
  • Physical hazards from moving equipment and machine parts.
  • Breathing fumes, dust, and mist.
  • Skin exposure to oils, cutting fluid, and solvents.
