Machine Operator (600 AMP) - 3rd Shift

About the role

Operate rubber injection molding machines to fabricate rubber components. Responsible for the production of molded products.

This position reports to: Supervisor (Production).

Responsibilities

• Understand and follow plant safety procedures.
• Avoid or prevent hazardous conditions from developing.
• Wear appropriate protective equipment as required, dress and conduct self in a safe manner.
• Keep work area clean and orderly and maintain Lean 5S.
• Participate in plant safety objectives.
• Demonstrate ABB’s core values and group safety and integrity standards.
• Implement and ensure compliance with the ABB code of conduct, global and local standards, tools, policies, and processes in assigned areas.
• Handle all aspects of molding operations, including work instructions, standard operating procedures, and revision control.
• Ensure quality operation of the process, perform quality checks and controls, including adherence to cleaning and maintenance.
• Maintain pre-determined efficiency, standards, and productivity rates.
• Prepare and maintain accurate production records and follow standard operating procedures.
• Keep track of approved, defective units, and final product.
• Ensure shift change forms are completed with accurate and appropriate information.
• Additional duties may be assigned to meet business needs.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Prior manufacturing experience or quality control experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and perform push/pull functions.
• Ability to work overtime to meet business objectives.
• Ability to work a weekend schedule as needed.
