Machine Operator 3rd Shift

About the role

Operate and monitor production machines, ensure safety and quality, perform set‑ups, minor troubleshooting, and support the manufacturing process while adhering to 5S standards.

Responsibilities

• Participate in Luxfer's culture of safety by maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE) as described.
• Start up, operate, monitor, and shut down machines safely without supervision according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for the work center.
• Load unfinished parts into machines and remove finished parts safely.
• Monitor machine operation to ensure consistent performance and product quality.
• Check part quality using designated measurement instruments; understand when and how to stop the machine safely if issues arise.
• Perform routine set‑up, periodic checks, and minor troubleshooting as required.
• Operate sanding tools and additional equipment to support the manufacturing process.
• Make necessary adjustments to machines to optimize performance and improve results.
• Produce high‑quality parts according to manufacturing targets, schedules, and specifications.
• Assume responsibility for ensuring that all duties are performed in a safe and efficient manner.
• Keep a clean and orderly work area, adhering to 5S standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.

Requirements

• At least 18 years old.
• Able to pass a drug test.
• Acceptable outcome of a background check.
• Successfully complete a pre‑employment physical.
• Authorized to work in the US.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• One (1) year of manufacturing experience preferred.

Pay

$18.00 per hour.

Schedule

Monday – Friday, 3rd shift: 9:30 pm – 6:00 am or 10:30 pm – 7:00 am; Saturday work is mandatory if scheduled; opportunity for overtime.
