Responsibilities
- Operate machines to cut, punch, bend, weld, or shape materials into specified components.
- Set up machines and confirm specifications using drawings, blueprints, tablets, or other tools.
- Safely use lifting devices, such as cranes and forklifts, to position materials or parts.
- Perform inspections before, during, and after production using measuring tools to ensure materials meet exact specifications.
- Actively participate in continuous improvement and corrective action activities.
- Maintain material inventory, perform machine maintenance, and support housekeeping and organizational standards (e.g., 5-S practices).
Requirements
- A keen eye for detail and pride in producing quality work.
- Enjoyment of hands-on roles and working with machinery, or eagerness to learn.
