Machine Operator 3- 2nd Shift - Panels Dept.

About the role

BlueScope is seeking skilled and detail-oriented individuals to operate and maintain machines that shape materials into high-quality components. Whether you're an experienced operator or eager to learn, candidates of all backgrounds are welcome.

What you'll do

• Use machines to cut, punch, bend, weld, or shape materials into specified components to meet current demands
• Set up machines and confirm specifications using drawings, blueprints, tablets, or other tools
• Safely use lifting devices, such as cranes and forklifts, to position materials or parts as needed
• Utilize measuring tools and processes to perform inspections before, during, and after production, ensuring materials meet exact specifications
• Actively participate in continuous improvement and corrective action activities
• Keep track of material inventory, perform machine maintenance, and support housekeeping and organizational standards, such as 5-S practices
