Machine Operator 2nd & 3rd Shift

About the Role

Operate and maintain production equipment on 2nd and 3rd shifts in a frozen-bakery environment.

Responsibilities

• Set up and maintain assigned equipment.
• Operate equipment to produce product within specification and line-speed targets.
• Maintain a clean work environment throughout the shift, including sweeping and cleaning the area during and after the shift.
• Accurately complete all required production documentation.
• Apply basic troubleshooting techniques to resolve minor equipment issues.
• Work with support groups to ensure lines start on time and minimize downtime.
• Follow good manufacturing practices (GMPs) and all safety protocols.
• Cross-train on other machines and in other areas as needed.

Requirements

• Current Sara Lee Frozen Bakery employee with 3.0 or fewer attendance occurrences, no more than one active disciplinary action, and at least six months in the current position.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Good safety record and commitment to safe work habits.
• Good attendance and housekeeping practices.
• Basic computer skills and organizational/written skills.
• Willingness to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
• Willingness to work 8–12 hour shifts while standing.
• Willingness to work in cold and hot environments.
• Willingness to wear all required PPE: safety glasses, hair/beard net, hearing protection, and rubber boots with safety toe (provided).
