Machine Operator 1st shift

Major Responsibilities Proficiently operate and maintain basic machinery independently at a defined rate with proper qualityDevelop and maintain an understanding of the products assembled and how they impact the business. Continuous learning of the principles, practices, and processes of the job as changes require.Safely handle materials utilizing proper lifting techniques, including overhead hoists/lift tables.Understand machine guarding and safe operation of machinery.Communicate hazards and/or equipment issues with leadership.May occasionally provide basic training to employees as needed Cross train in different areas within the department and flex to different stations as needed Minimum Job Requirements Education High school Diploma or equivalent (GED) Work Experience 1 year of experience operating relevant machinery or equivalent Knowledge / Skills / Abilities Ability to pass the basic assessment testAbility to read and understand basic blueprintsDetail oriented and organized.Work in a team environment in a professional mannerEffectively communicateUtilize applicable hand tools with precision. Preferred Job Requirements Knowledge / Skills / Abilities Ability to read blueprints/Diagrams, tape measure by millimeters and inches, dial caliper, and any other measuring instruments as needed and complete Measurement Quality Check sheet.Ability to understand and execute basic standard machining procedures, interpret basic visual diagrams, and use basic hand tools.
