Location: 2234 Temescal Canyon Road, Corona, California 92883. First shift (8-hour).

About the role

The Machine Operator will operate blow-mold, PET, and injection molding machines, grinders, trimmer machines, and conveyor systems. The role is responsible for troubleshooting process problems and performing minor maintenance to ensure continued operation of the production line while following Good Manufacturing Practices.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate safe work practices by wearing correct PPE and following safety policies.
  • Adhere to work schedule with punctuality.
  • Collaborate effectively with others in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Participate in continuous improvement processes to drive change within the plant.
  • Comply with company General Manufacturing Policies and all applicable safety standards and regulations.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and clutter-free work area.
  • Perform preventive maintenance, mold changes, neck and blow pin adjustments, and other mechanical changes.
  • Operate blow-mold, PET, and injection molding machines (including wheels, reciprocating, or shuttle machines) to produce quality bottles.
  • Adhere to quality control and blow mold process procedures.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve process problems.
  • Perform bottle inspections, including drop tests, and monitor quality during production, packaging, and labeling.
  • Conduct audits, weight checks, and quality checks.
  • Make adjustments to meet product specifications.
  • Troubleshoot and perform minor repairs on blow-mold and support equipment.
  • Escalate all bottle abnormalities, defects, and quality issues immediately.
  • Monitor and replenish packaging materials as needed.
  • Collect and place dropped bottles into bins or grinder.
  • Ensure correct labeling, bottle description, and packaging per customer requirements.
  • Move finished goods to designated areas.
  • Prepare and document daily production reports, including rejects, regrinds, line efficiencies, and other metrics.
  • Complete maintenance request forms and document equipment repairs.
  • Follow instructions from Lead Operator or Supervisor; assistance provided for unusual problems.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management; duties may vary by plant based on equipment and design.
  • Reasonable mandatory overtime may be required due to business needs.

Requirements

  • Basic mathematical skills.
  • Basic computer experience.
  • Blow mold experience.
  • High School diploma or GED preferred.
  • Completion of Altium Production/Machine Operator training within 90 days of hire.

Physical Demands

  • Frequently required to stand, walk, use hands to grasp or handle, and reach out, over, and below with hands and arms.
  • Occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl.
  • Frequently required to lift, push, pull, and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Work Environment

  • Regular exposure to moving mechanical parts in a production environment.
  • Loud noise levels in the work environment.
  • Temperatures inside the plant fluctuate between hot and cold according to seasonal changes.
  • Personal protective equipment (PPE) is required in the production department and other designated areas.

Pay

Targeted pay rate: $22.75 per hour.
