Machine Operator 1

The Role

We are seeking a responsible individual with mechanical aptitude and intermediate computer proficiency to join our team as a Machine Operator. This position supports the mission of changing the way the world eats by operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting machinery used in our pack area.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that automated machinery used in the farm is running smoothly, efficiently and effectively - optical sorter, scaling, bench movement systems
• Fine tune automated systems to achieve accurate task execution
• Communicate across departments to sync task priorities
• Troubleshooting system errors, communicate with maintenance when necessary
• Facilitating the training for machinery when needed
• Occasionally provides direction to the teams
• Following all GMPs to ensure continuous safety and efficiency
• Reporting all possible deficiencies or practices to Supervisor that could compromise food safety

Requirements

• Repetitive motion throughout the shift
• Standing or walking for a long duration of time
• Crouching and kneeling
• Lifting up to 50lbs

Qualifications

• Understanding of safe food handling practices
• Adaptability to fast-paced environment and quickly evolving processes
• 1+ years of experience working in a Machine Operator role
• Agriculture, science, and/or food production background a plus

Skills

• Mechanical aptitude with automated systems
• Intermediate computer proficiency
• Detail and quality oriented

Pay

Compensation is commensurate with experience.

Schedule

Hours are flexible but typically require standing, walking, and repetitive motions throughout the shift.
