Machine Operator 1 - 2nd Shift

About the role

The Machine Operator 1 is responsible for operating machinery that produces metal roofing components in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will produce basic products without supervision, understand workflow processes, and prioritize safety and quality. This role requires teamwork, cross-training on shop machines, and the ability to meet tight customer deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Operate machinery to produce metal roofing components while adhering to safety and quality standards.
• Set up machinery with minimal assistance, including reading tape measures and using basic math and computer skills.
• Produce orders correctly by following specific directions and instructions.
• Work safely and comply with all safety regulations at all times.
• Stand for extended periods and move about the shop floor.
• Use a forklift to transport heavy metal coils (training provided).
• Participate in daily shop cleaning responsibilities.
• Maintain a constant state of alertness to ensure safe and efficient operations.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in fabrication/manufacturing is preferred.
• High attention to detail to consistently produce quality products.
• Specific vision abilities: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds continually, including above shoulder height and below the waist.
• Physical demands include standing, walking, lifting, pulling, pushing, carrying, grasping, reaching, stooping, crouching, and near acuity.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Pay

Base pay starts at $17.75 per hour plus a $1.00 per hour shift differential for 2nd shift.

Schedule

2nd Shift: 3:30 pm - 2:00 am, Monday-Thursday.
