Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform intermediate-level troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and control system failures, using systematic diagnostic techniques to identify root causes.
- Execute preventive and corrective maintenance activities, ensuring equipment operates within manufacturer specifications and company standards.
- Conduct precision mechanical alignments and adjustments, including conveyors, pick-and-place systems, robotics, and other automated equipment.
- Support and perform equipment calibrations, ensuring accuracy, repeatability, and compliance with quality requirements.
- Collaborate with Manufacturing and Process Engineers to implement process improvements, equipment upgrades, and efficiency initiatives.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation, including work orders, parts usage, and equipment history.
- Support production uptime and yield goals, responding quickly to equipment downtime and minimizing impact to operations.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, identifying trends in failures and recommending proactive maintenance strategies.
- Ensure all work is performed in compliance with safety standards, ESD requirements, and company policies.
Qualifications
- Basic Qualifications: 5–10 years of experience in industrial maintenance, manufacturing, or related technical field.
- Strong Knowledge Of Electrical systems (motors, sensors, PLC basics)
- Mechanical systems (bearings, belts, gearboxes)
- Pneumatics and basic hydraulics
- Automated production equipment
- Proven ability to perform independent troubleshooting and repairs on complex equipment.
- Experience executing preventive maintenance programs and interpreting maintenance schedules.
- Ability To Read And Interpret Electrical schematics
- Mechanical drawings
- Equipment manuals and technical documentation
- Experience working in a production environment, supporting up time and responding to equipment issues in real time.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to perform root cause analysis.
- Basic computer skills, including maintenance tracking systems (CMMS), Microsoft Office, and digital documentation tools.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate across maintenance, engineering, and production teams.
- High school diploma or GED required; technical certification preferred.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with PLC troubleshooting (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, etc.). Familiarity with SMT, robotics, or automated assembly equipment. Experience supporting continuous improvement or lean manufacturing initiatives.
