Machine Maintenance Technician - 3rd shift
Cretex Medical is a leading contract manufacturer of precision components and assemblies for the medical device industry, specializing in injection molding, laser processing, metal stamping, and device assembly.
About the role
As a Machine Maintenance Tech II, you will perform advanced repair and preventative maintenance of machines and machining equipment on the 3rd shift (10:00 PM – 6:30 AM, Sunday – Thursday).
Responsibilities
- Plan and perform advanced machinery repair
- Install and align new machining equipment
- Recommend improvements for increased quality or efficiency
- Perform preventative maintenance per schedule
- Work independently on projects of moderate complexity
- Train Machine Maintenance Tech I
- Accurately record and report hours worked
- Support and comply with the company Quality System, ISO, and medical device requirements
- Read, understand, and follow work instructions and standard work
- Partner with other business segments (sales/marketing, customer service, engineering, quality, and finance)
- Understand customer needs and core business markets
- Ensure business systems are implemented, maintained, and functioning properly
- Participate in required company meetings
- Maintain an organized work area (5S)
- Participate in the Operational Excellence Program
- Complete all other assigned work duties
Requirements
- 5 years of advanced machine maintenance experience
- Self-motivated with the ability to work in a team environment with minimal supervision
- Intermittent exposure to safe levels of cleaning solutions, solvents, and solder (lead) fumes
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Ability to occasionally lift 10-50 lbs and to stand, bend, and stoop
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment around machinery exposed to oils and solvents
- Mechanical aptitude and strong problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher)
- Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
- Ability to prioritize and multitask
Qualifications
- Technical degree (desirable)
Physical & Environmental Demands
Cretex Companies use cutting oils, solvents, and other chemicals in the manufacturing process. Testing is conducted periodically to ensure all chemicals are kept well below OSHA permissible exposure levels.
Pay
USD $25.14 - USD $33.89 per hour. This range reflects the base hourly rate based on market-based pay structures. Actual compensation depends on skills, experience, education, internal equity, business needs, and local market conditions.
