Role Overview
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining machinery and mechanical/electrical equipment to ensure optimal operation. They disassemble machines, replace broken parts, and adjust components as needed, while also cleaning, lubricating, and ordering parts for repairs.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a resource for resolving complex equipment issues
- Adapt procedures and tools to meet specific needs
- Inspect completed repairs to ensure equipment meets specifications
- Follow diagrams, schematics, and manuals to perform repairs and maintenance accurately
Key Duties
- Maintain machinery through routine inspections, troubleshooting, disassembly, repair, and adjustment to ensure equipment functions efficiently
- Adapt techniques and resources to meet specific needs
- Serve as a resource for complex problem resolution
Qualifications & Skills
- Must be 18+ years of age
- At least 2 years of machine maintenance experience
- Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems
- Proficiency with hand and power tools
- Knowledge of machine tools
- Basic electrical/electronic repair skills
- Preferred: High school diploma or GED
- Preferred: 3+ years of experience
- Preferred: Good communication, problem-solving, and mechanical aptitude
